September 10, 2016
Silent Auction at 5:30pm & Dinner at 6:30pm

As anyone who has ever walked the jagged path of addiction knows, the pain and suffering of an addict becomes a tornado that quickly and intrepidly shreds the life of the addict and everyone around him apart. Families separate, treasured relationships dissolve, and dignity disappears. The true testament of the miracle of recovery comes when the addict is able to grasp a new way of life and he starts mending all that has become broken.

One of the most rewarding experiences of opening Acceptance Recovery Center less than a year ago is being able to witness the recovery and growth of the 60 men who have crossed the threshold from active addiction to a purposeful life. The miracle is happening to these men as well as the 64 children among them who have been affected. Families are healing and coming back together. Addiction is truly a family disease.

When we commemorate the lives of those we have lost to addiction on September 10, 2016 at Acceptance Recovery Center’s Recovery Awareness Dinner, let us also celebrate the children and families who are getting a second chance at a beautiful future with their fathers, sons, and brothers. Please join us in making a real difference in the lives of recovering addicts.

If you or someone you know would be willing to share the story of someone who lost his or her battle to the disease of addiction, we gratefully invite you to participate in this opportunity. Please contact Brandy Witte Anderson at (706)308-8860.
