Shelia is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Master Addiction Counselor (MAC), Certified Anger Management Specialist II (CAMS), and an Electronic Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (E-CADC).

She obtained her Bachelor of Social Work in 2011 and her Master of Social Work Degree in 2013 both from the University of Georgia. Shelia currently facilitates our Family Restoration Group at ARC and serves as our lead individual counselor. Shelia is also employed part-time with Athens Day Reporting Center where she provides substance abuse counseling, anger management, and coordinates employment and education services for offenders. In 2018, she opened the private practice Balanced Behavioral Counseling Services, LLC, where she provides a variety of counseling services both individual and group.

Shelia is currently working toward becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She is actively involved in the Athens recovery community and serves on the board of directors for Athens Recovery Fest, Inc. as Treasurer.
