Patricia Carter grew up in Madison County, Georgia, but relocated to Athens in 2015. As the daughter of an alcoholic, wife of an addict, and mother of several children who suffer from the disease, Patricia is able to share her lived experience through the lens of the family member who is affected by addiction. She and her husband have been actively involved in the local recovery community since moving to Athens, and she joined #teamARC in October 2019. A natural caretaker, Patricia has been a sole provider for various family members and loved ones since she was nine years old. She is loved by all that meet her, and #teamARC is grateful to have such a dedicated, compassionate “MiMi” to look after us all!
