Larnie McCarver | ARCGA

Laarni McCarver serves as the Director of Admissions and Alumni Care at Acceptance Recovery Center, where she has been a valued team member since 2017. Known for her compassionate and impactful approach, Laarni is often the preferred point of contact for residents, offering support, empathy, and connection at every step of their recovery journey.

In her current role, Laarni advocates for individuals seeking entry into the program and provides vital guidance as residents begin transitioning back into the community. Her work is rooted in a deep commitment to helping others build lives of purpose and stability.

Laarni is a Certified Addiction Counselor, Level I (CAC-I), a Certified Addiction Recovery Empowerment Specialist (CARES/CPS-AD), a Forensic Peer Mentor (FPM), an Experiential Activity Specialist (EAS), an Anger Resolution Specialist, and a Respect Institute Speaker. She previously served as President of the Georgia Association of Recovery Residences (GARR) from 2019 to 2022 and was a featured participant in the Georgia Recovers Campaign (2019), working to raise awareness about recovery and reduce stigma.

Throughout her time at Acceptance Recovery Center, Laarni has held multiple key roles, including Residential Assistant, Residential Manager, Outcomes Coordinator, Admissions Coordinator, Lead Phase Counselor, and Alumni Coordinator. Her years of dedicated service reflect her passion for uplifting others and her unwavering commitment to the recovery community.

Laarni served as a medic in the U.S. Army and previously held certifications as both a paramedic and a phlebotomist. Her drive to serve others, no matter the setting, has been a constant throughout her life.

Laarni has been in long-term recovery since March 25, 2011. What began as a mission to make her parents proud has evolved into a purpose driven life of helping others discover their own paths to healing. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her loved ones and her very large puppy, Maggie Sue.
