A Letter from the CEO

Dear Friends and Recovery Family,

As we reflect on the challenges we have faced in the last year, the word that comes to mind is resilience. Resilience is the ability to recover from difficulties and to bounce back stronger than ever before.

At Acceptance Recovery Center, we have witnessed the resilience of our residents, our staff, and our community as a whole. Despite the unprecedented challenges we faced, we never wavered in our commitment to leading those displaced by addiction through care, support, and education into long-term recovery.

Our residents have shown remarkable strength and determination in their journeys towards recovery. They have faced adversity head-on, embraced change, and continued to work towards their goals despite setbacks.

Our staff has also demonstrated incredible resilience. They have adapted to new safety protocols, increased workloads, and changing circumstances with grace and professionalism. They have remained committed to our mission and the well-being of our residents and their families.

Lastly, our community has shown resilience in the face of uncertainty and upheaval. We have come together to support one another, to offer help where it is needed, and to find new ways to connect and communicate despite physical distance.

As we move forward, we are committed to continuing to build resilience within ourselves and our community. We will remain flexible and adaptable in the face of challenges, and we will continue to support and uplift one another.

Thank you for your ongoing support of Acceptance Recovery Center and our mission to lead those displaced by addiction through care, support, and education into long-term recovery. Together, we can continue to build a more resilient and stronger community.

With love and gratitude,
Brandy Anderson, Founder and CEO

Giveback Reflection Letter

Doing a give back project to me, gave me time to think about my journey. How far I have come. To think of the ups and downs and, be able to give back to something that is bigger than me.  To thank a community that helped me regain purpose in my life. For me, Athens used to be my playground. I did what I wanted when I wanted and a lot of the times I didn’t think about the consequences till it was already too late. So to be able to do something for my community that will last longer than my time here  is something that I really enjoyed. In reflecting on while I was doing my GiveBack project, I’m thankful for the extra time I have had here and some of the humbling moments that I have had while being in treatment. But to know that I’ve never gave up on myself, and that the staff members have pushed me to be the best version of the new Kyle that I can be.
