A Letter from the CEO

Dear Friends,

As we navigate through the journey of addiction recovery, it’s essential to focus not only on our physical well-being but also on our mental health. At Acceptance Recovery Center, we firmly believe that the mind plays a crucial role in the recovery process.

One of the most significant challenges that those in recovery face is dealing with the emotional and mental toll of addiction. Addiction can leave us feeling isolated, hopeless, and overwhelmed, making it difficult to stay on the path to recovery.

However, by focusing on our mental health, we can learn to manage these emotions and thoughts and build resilience. The mind is a powerful tool that, when trained and honed, can help us achieve a state of peace and balance.

Incorporating mindfulness practices into your recovery journey can help you learn to manage your emotions, reduce stress and anxiety, and cultivate a sense of inner peace. Whether it’s through meditation, deep breathing, or journaling, taking the time to focus on your mental health can be a transformative experience.

As we observe National Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to encourage you to take the time to focus on your mental health. Remember that recovery is a journey, and by focusing on your mental well-being, you can build the tools and resilience you need to thrive.

Thank you for your ongoing support of Acceptance Recovery Center. Together, we can continue to inspire hope and healing in those impacted by addiction.

Sincerely,
Brandy Anderson, Founder and CEO

Kristina McFadden Clinical Program Director - Acceptance Recovery Center

We are thrilled to celebrate Kristina McFadden, our Clinical Program Director, as she marks seven years of exceptional service to Acceptance Recovery Center. Kristina is the backbone of ARC, and we couldn’t be prouder of the impact she’s made on our organization and the recovery community.

Kristina’s journey with ARC began as a part-time office manager in 2016, and she has grown alongside the organization since then. She has filled almost every position at ARC before taking on the role of Clinical Program Director, where she continues to provide invaluable support to our team and residents.

Kristina graduated summa cum laude from Georgia Southern University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She went on to earn her Master of Social Work degree from UGA in May 2016 while working at ARC. She is currently working towards obtaining her Master Addiction Counselor (MAC) credential, demonstrating her commitment to enhancing her knowledge and skills to better serve our residents.

Kristina’s passion for helping others was ignited at a young age. Having grown up in a small town, she witnessed the devastating effects of addiction on her friends. Her graduate internship with the Athens Day Reporting Center introduced her to ARC, and she immediately fell in love with our mission. According to Kristina, “Acceptance Recovery Center offers something I’ve personally never seen before in a residential care facility. It is not just a halfway house… it is a home that provides structure, education, and interventions that treat addiction in its true form, as a disease.”

Kristina’s dedication to ARC and the recovery community is inspiring. Her commitment to our mission and residents is unwavering, and we are grateful to have her as a member of #teamARC. Please join us in congratulating Kristina on her seven years of service to Acceptance Recovery Center.
