Molly McCarver Family Fund

In lieu of flowers, please support the children of Molly McCarver, who passed away on June 13, 2024, after a brave battle with opioid addiction. Molly was a loving mother to Tony TJ Hitchcock Jr. and Kaylynn Hitchcock, and her dedication to their well-being and future was unwavering.

Molly’s life was a testament to resilience, compassion, and service. She made a profound impact in the recovery community, openly sharing her own journey and tirelessly helping others through her work at Acceptance Recovery Center.

Now, as we honor her memory, we want to ensure her children receive the support and opportunities she always strived to provide for them. Your contributions will go towards their education, extracurricular activities, and any additional support they may need during this difficult time.

This fund is a way to carry forward Molly’s legacy of care and dedication, ensuring her children have the resources they need to thrive. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a significant difference. Your generosity will help us honor Molly’s memory by supporting the most important people in her life—her children.

Thank you for your compassion and support during this challenging time.

    Donate Materials

While the residents at Acceptance Recovery Center (WARC/MARC) are actively recovering and integrating into society they have basic needs. ARC relies heavily on donations from the community. We humbly accept volunteers, monetary donations, and supplies. With prior consent from our Executive Director, arrangements can be made by organizations, groups, or individuals to provide home-cooked meals to the residents.

NOTE: Please DO NOT donate Mouthwash or Hand Sanitizer. We are not accepting clothing at this time due to storage constraints. We have compiled a list of in-kind donations needed.

    Give Other Ways

    Securities

Donating appreciated securities to Acceptance Recovery Center allows for significant benefits to donors. When itemizing deductions, donors can deduct the full market value of the securities, up to 30% of their adjusted gross income each year. Acceptance Recovery Center will handle the liquidation of the securities, and donors can avoid paying capital gains tax on the appreciated portion of the gift. This includes publicly traded stocks, bonds, and mutual funds.

    Real Estate

Acceptance Recovery Center warmly welcomes gifts of real estate, including properties such as homes or land. It’s important to note that the donation process for real estate involves specific procedural steps, so we kindly ask donors to contact us in advance. Our team will be delighted to provide guidance and discuss the details surrounding the acceptance of real estate gifts.

    Give Later

    Bequests

One of the simplest ways to make a lasting impact is through bequests to Acceptance Recovery Center. Donors retain complete control over their assets during their lifetime while making a difference in the lives of others. Bequests can be made as a specific dollar amount, a percentage of the estate, or the residual amount left after other bequests are fulfilled. Donors have the flexibility to designate bequests as unrestricted gifts, allowing Acceptance Recovery Center to allocate the funds where they are most needed. Alternatively, donors may choose to specify an existing fund or establish a new fund in their name.

    Life Insurance

Naming Acceptance Recovery Center as the owner and beneficiary of a life insurance policy allows donors to make impactful gifts. By doing so, donors receive an immediate tax deduction equal to the cash surrender value of the policy. Moreover, subsequent premiums paid by the donor become deductible for income tax purposes. Donors have the option to designate insurance proceeds as an unrestricted gift or allocate them to a named fund at Acceptance Recovery Center.

Individual Retirement Accounts & Retirement Plans

Donors have the opportunity to support Acceptance Recovery Center by designating the organization as the beneficiary of their Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) or retirement plans. This simple act enables donors to make a difference while potentially enjoying tax benefits. Donors can specify whether their gift is unrestricted or choose to establish a fund in their name at Acceptance Recovery Center.

    Charitable Remainder Trust (CRT)

A charitable remainder trust presents a flexible way to support Acceptance Recovery Center while providing income payments to the donor or a beneficiary designated by the donor. Regular income payments are made for life or a specified trust term (up to 20 years), with the remaining amount transferred to Acceptance Recovery Center afterward. Donors receive an immediate charitable tax deduction based on the present value of the gift at the time it is made. The CRT can be tailored to provide fixed income or income that varies based on the trust’s value. This type of trust is particularly beneficial for appreciated securities and real estate with minimal income, as the assets of the trust can be sold and reinvested without incurring capital gains tax. Donors can specify whether the remainder of the trust is considered an unrestricted gift or used to establish a new fund in their name.

    Charitable Lead Trust (CLT)

A charitable lead trust allows donors to provide annual payments for their lifetime or a designated number of years to a fund established at Acceptance Recovery Center. These payments can be fixed or variable based on the value of the trust. Once the trust term ends, the trust principal is distributed to family members or other beneficiaries as designated by the donor.
