Jim Mueller - Board Member - Acceptance Recovery Center

Jim Mueller is a local businessman that has resided in Athens for the last ten years and has happily raised his two children here with his wife of twenty years. Jim graduated from Southern Oregon University in 1998 with a degree in communications with an emphasis in photojournalism. He struggled with a camera for a couple years in Seattle until he was asked to work in sales in Houston, Texas, which he gladly jumped at after spending many months in a row under gloomy skies. Jim was successful in the construction industry in Texas, but found himself caught up in a severe addiction which landed him in the federal prison system for a couple years. While in prison, Jim underwent an intensive recovery program as well as served as the G.E.D teacher for the compound. His extraordinary wife stood by his side throughout this dark period and they began to rebuild their life and started a family while living in central Pennsylvania where Jim found work selling automotive coatings. A promotion to regional manager brought Jim and his young family to Athens where they have flourished ever since. After ten years selling coatings Jim decided to start his own business in commercial construction building industrial buildings all over the Southeast and is proud to own multiple properties in Athens creating a flourishing hospitality and property business.

Jim is very passionate about the recovery community and is excited and proud to be part or the ARC family. He hopes to put his sales and project management skills to use in helping ARC grow and create the neighbors of our future.
