As the weather grows warmer, the days become longer, and the #flowers4recovery reach full bloom, ARC will be kicking off the summer of 2017 with a bang! We have several activities in the month of May that will preface our June, July, and August fundraising events. To view the #flowers4recovery memories, please click the image above.
ARC hosted our very first graduation service on the evening of May 2 as we celebrated the hard work and perseverance of two residents. May is also the month that we are collaborating with Di’Lishi Frozen Yogurt Bar of Athens. Our co-promotion will run through August (details below). Be sure you include yogurt as the dessert encore to summer barbecues!
ARC is expanding as a program. We have experienced a growth spurt in the previous six months. We are currently at full capacity with 48 residents. Our program provides structure, accountability, compassion, and strong resources. Our staff at ARC believe a measure of fun and recreation is vital to well-rounded recovery. Please join us this summer as we bask in the warmth of sunshine and fellowship recovery.
Help ARC Sweeten Our Indigent Fund!
Be sure to visit Di’Lishi Frozen Yogurt Bar – Athens during the months of May through the end of August.
Every yogurt spoon placed in the ARC box is a direct donation to our drug and alcohol program. Once a box is filled with spoons, ARC will receive a $500 donation. The box can be filled multiple times.
ARC is excited to collaborate with Di’Lishi Frozen Yogurt Bar. This is a sweet and generous example of ARC being a program for change as well as a recovery movement.
Di’Lishi is located off of the Oconee Connector. Click the picture for the address and info!

ARC’s First Commencement Ceremony A Beautiful Success
The evening of May 2nd was a night of magic and miracles for the program of Acceptance Recovery Center. We gathered to celebrate the commencement ceremony of Herman and Dale. Maryanne Economos, ARC Case Manager, spoke with the audience of her experience, strength, and hope as a preface to the graduation. Brandy Anderson, Founder, took time to share the circumstances that brought Dale and Herman to ARC. Residents and staff were also given the opportunity to address them.
After the ceremony many attendees returned to the ARC campus for a bonfire celebration. Our graduation event was a pinnacle moment for ARC. Two residents who arrived to the program broken, unmanageable, and hurting have become healthy, productive, recovered members of the community and that is why we do what we do at ARC!
