
Kimberley Moon-Sagerty is a Phase Counselor and Group Facilitator at Acceptance Recovery Center. She began her journey with ARC as a Social Work Intern, completing two semesters before transitioning into a staff position after graduation. With 30 years of experience in accounting and administration, Kimberley brings strong organizational skills to her role; however, serving within the addiction recovery community has become her true calling. She is passionate about helping people achieve recovery, stability, and personal growth, and she has a special sense of empathy for marginalized and underserved populations.
Kimberley graduated with highest honors, earning a perfect 4.0 GPA from Athens Technical College, with an Associate Degree in Social Work. She also holds Technical Certificates of Credit as an Addiction Specialist and in Domestic and Family Violence and is QPR Suicide Prevention certified. She is currently pursuing dual bachelor’s degrees in Addiction Counseling and Psychology at Indiana Tech.
Kimberley is married to her husband, Steven, and has served as the primary caregiver for her son’s identical twin boys while he serves on active duty with the U.S. Army in Alaska. A military child herself, she was born in Okinawa, Japan, traveled to several countries, and grew up in Austin, Texas. Outside of work and school, Kimberley loves cooking, baking, and sharing her culinary creations with others. She is also a devoted dog mom to Gizmo, her 11-year-old Shih Tzu. In every area of her life, Kimberley strives to serve with compassion and make a positive difference in the lives of others.
