
Mike Walker brings a distinguished career in the behavioral health sector to the Acceptance Recovery Center Board of Directors. With a deep passion for serving individuals in need, he has dedicated decades to leadership roles in mental health and addiction recovery.
Mike earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Biology from Shorter College in 1975, followed by a Master of Education in Elementary and Middle School Education from West Georgia College in 1978. He furthered his expertise with a Master of Education from the University of Georgia’s School of Psychology in 1980.
His extensive career includes 24 years as the Executive Director of Hope Haven of Northeast Georgia (1993–2017) and he then served as CEO of Penfield Addiction Ministries from 2017 to 2024.
Now retired, Mike continues his mission by sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience through the Board of Directors at Acceptance Recovery Center. His leadership and insight are invaluable in advancing our mission & vision.
