Come one, come all to the 3rd Annual Addiction Awareness Benefit!
This event, the largest fundraiser of the year for ARC, will be held on Saturday, September 8th, 2018 at Bethlehem Church main campus, just 20 minutes from Athens!
The evening will feature a vintage circus theme, lots of delicious food, 3 incredible guest speakers, a professional photo opportunity, a silent auction and live music! The event is dressy but not formal and there is no dress code.
5:30pm: Doors Open
During this pre-show hour, there will be appetizers, a photo booth, various performers, and the silent auction will be open.
6:30pm: Dinner and the Program Begin
Our Keynote Speakers

Acceptance: Lindsey is a Georgia Certified Peer Specialist (CPS). She is employed with the Georgia Mental Health Consumer Network as an Outreach Coordinator for the RESPECT Institute of Georgia. She supports others in telling their recovery stories all over the state of Georgia. Lindsey is a woman in long-term recovery and is a Certified Addiction Recovery Empowerment Specialist (CARES). With God on her side she has survived 12 years of addiction, 1 year of homelessness, and 3 years of being incarcerated. She feels it is her responsibility to help spread hope by advocating for peer support and being the evidence that recovery is real!
Recovery: Laurisa is a woman in long-term recovery from substance use disorder as well as mental health challenges. She is a Certified Addiction Recovery Empowerment Specialist (CARES 21) and is committed to spreading a message of hope and perseverance. Through her position as Outreach and Communications Manager at the Georgia Council on Substance Abuse, Laurisa has the opportunity to travel the state advocating for more recovery resources and policies that better support people in or seeking recovery. Having overcome obstacles that seemed impossible to her at the time, she’s grateful for the life that her recovery has given her and is passionate about showing that recovery is possible for anyone.
