Dear Friends and Community,

I hope this message finds you well, enjoying the holiday season. I wanted to share some highlights from our Give Recovery a Voice Gala, a fantastic event that brought us together for a night of celebration and purpose.

At the gala, we had Jeff Graham, who heads up Georgia Equality, as our keynote speaker. His message on intersectionality in recovery was eye-opening and showed us how recovery can take different paths. Sally Kimmel Sheppard of Envision Athens also spoke, sharing heartfelt thoughts about the power of recovery.

A big shoutout to the amazing dance group from East Jackson Dance. They performed a dance that beautifully expressed the ups and downs of the recovery journey. Their performance added a special touch to the evening.

We also featured Jamie Tall’s documentary about our family preservation program. It was a moving portrayal of the impact we’re making and the stories of hope and strength in our community.

Our gala wasn’t just about having a good time; it was also about raising funds for our family preservation program. I want to thank everyone who contributed – your support is vital for the families we work with.

A big thank you to our sponsors for making the event possible. Your support keeps us going, creating spaces where everyone feels welcome on their journey to recovery.

The gala was a wonderful gathering of advocates, community members, and friends, all coming together to share stories and strengthen our commitment to recovery.

As we look back on this special night, we feel grateful and inspired. The sense of togetherness we felt will guide us as we continue our mission to create inclusive recovery spaces.

If you weren’t able to join us at the gala but would still like to contribute and support our Family Preservation Program, you can make a donation by clicking the ‘Give Recovery a Voice’ button below.
